Prompt A: Romeo finds out about what happened to Juliet and so he decides to buy poison. In scene 2 friar gets his letter back that Romeo was suppose to get. In scene 3 Paris visits Juliet and then Romeo shows up. Romeo kills Paris and then he drinks the poison. Juliet awakes and sees his husband dead so she stabs herself. The Capulets, Montegues, and the prince find all of them dead and the play finishes
Prompt C: Apothecary- why did you sell Romeo the poison even thought you knew the consequences?
Romeo & Juliet- why would you kill yourself for someone you just met?
Friar Lawrence- why would you leave Juliet alone?
Paris- why did you go visit Juliet?
Montegues & Capulets- did it really need to take your children to die for you guys to end your feud?
These are good questions and I really like the first one. However, I think Apothecary sold the poison since he is depicted as a poor person. Romeo was willing to pay him, and it seems like people would do anything to get what they need if they really need it. It's similar to the Great Depression; everyone was losing their jobs and people needed cash, and I would think people would have to steal in order to keep themselves alive. For Apothecary, having the cash to buy food or necessities would keep him alive for another day. It would be better to stay alive another day doing something illegal than dying when you had the chance to stay alive.
ReplyDelete1. I think the apothecary sold Romeo the poison because Romeo gave him all that money.
ReplyDelete2. Romeo and Juliet killed themselves even though they just met, most likely because they truly believed that they were in love, but it was really just lust.
3. I think Friar Lawrence left Juliet alone because he didn't want to get caught in the vault.
4. Paris went to visit Juliet to pay his respects and to make sure that everything was okay.
5. I think the Montagues and the Capulets are very stubborn and proud and neither one wants to be the first to ask to end the feud. They probably didn't think that their feud would cause both their children to die.
