Romeo and Juliet scene 1 acts 1 2 & 3

Prompt a: The first scene is introduced as a fight brakes out in the middle of the street in Verona Italy. This fight has gone from an argument between three people to a shouting match that contains various people, including representatives from both feuding families and some villagers. The two families, the Montagues and the Capulets, have a bitter rivalry that causes the prince to have to step in to end the fight. Later on we meet Romeo who is the son of old Montague, and seems to be stricken by love and heartache. His cousin Benvolio attempts to cheer him by reminding him that there are other beauties out there. Finally we are introduced to the lady Capulet's daughter Juliet who is discussing the subject of marriage

Prompt e:
I think that this picture represents the chapter because it shows all the different groups being separated. We don't know why they hate each other yet so I think that the dark crack shows the mystery behind their hatred.

Prompt c:
Benvolio-Are you and Romeo very close? Have you met the girl he is in love with?
Romeo-why are you in love with Rosaline?
Lady Capulet-Don't you think your daughter is to young to marry?
Juliet-Do you feel that your mother isn't listening to your wishes?
