Romeo and Juliet: Act 2; Star-Crossed Lovers

Prompt E:

I chose this image because it represents Romeo and Juliet's love for each other. The come from opposite, enemy houses, yet still fall in love and marry each other. The image, and the book, show that love can be found in unexpected places. In the case of Romeo and Juliet, opposites do attract and can lead to true love.

Prompt F:

Romeo and Juliet have a professed love for each other, and it is quite apparent in the story. Romeo is constantly declaring paragraphs and paragraphs about his love for Juliet, and is always poetically complementing her. Juliet also loves Romeo very much, and knows that Romeo loves her when she asks, "Dost thou love me? I know thou wilt say "Ay," and I will take the word" (75). Romeo has fallen in love with Juliet so deeply that he had completely forgotten about Rosaline, and when asked, simply says, "With Rosaline, my ghostly Father? No. I have forgot that name and that name's woe" (87). Romeo must truly be in love with Juliet if he is able to forget about Rosaline so soon. I think Juliet and Romeo's love for each other is true and not merely physical attraction.
