Romeo and Juliet's forbidden love reminds me of Susan and Carol's love on friends. Unlike Romeo and Juliet, Susan and Carol's families are not enemies. However, both pairs love each other no matter the circumstances. Carol's parents did not approve of her marriage with Susan and decided not to participate in their wedding, but Susan and Carol held their wedding anyway. Romeo and Juliet realize that their parents will most likely not approve of their love because of their families' childish rivalry, but they continue to love each other in spite of that.
